Hmm! Well, I don’t think dogs jump on just chow time but also in many other occasions. However this is one of the best time where you can really teach your dog sitting as well as standing upon your command. At first it may be a little tiresome but at the end of the day you can see results leaping. Trust me, dogs are smarter than you think and we don’t call dog’s man’s best companion for no reason!

It is very common in dogs that they develop unnecessary chewing habit. This is because they are teething and they want to remove the discomfort somehow. There are many remedies to stop this habit. First we should identify whether the dog is teething and if yes we should give them some toys they can chew on and praise them for chewing the correct toy which we give them. This helps them to reduce the discomfort with teething.

While training our pet dogs it is important to get the dog used to a leash. This is very important because it is necessary for the safety of the dog. Otherwise it will run out in the street or go to some dangerous place. This training should be given to a dog when it is very young. We cannot teach them immediately to be used with leash. So we should start giving the necessary training when they are too young.

It is common that we play with our pets especially dogs. While playing with them we have to be very careful. We should always keep a distance from them. Don’t allow them to nip us. Also, avoid playing rough with them. If we do that they will have a tendency to do that and they may nip or bite us. If the dogs nip us then stop the play so that the dog will feel that we are not rewarding him for what he does and the dog’s tendency to do it again will decrease.
