Puppy and Dog Food Comparison
During the upcoming few weeks we at
www.Gizmo2wizmo.com will be gathering and compiling data to
create both cost and nutrition comparisons for popular
dry puppy foods and dry dog foods. If you would like
the food you typically feed your canine companion included, please
submit your request by clicking on the “Add Comment” link below
and tell us which brands you would like to see included.
I've noticed in recent weeks the price of dog food seems to have gone up. I want my dogs to eat something nutritious, but don't want to break the bank while we're at it so I will sharing my findings with the Gizmo2wizmo community. Be sure to subscribe to this blog so you won't miss it!

Please include Pedigree, Small Crunchy Bites for Adult dogs. Thanks!

We are cheapos also and usually buy the Wal-mart brand dog foods. In fact a dog breeder who is a good friend told me that the store brands actually use less "filler" than most more expensive brands. Iams and Science Diet for instance are some of the worst offenders for filler food. We buy the Ol Roy brand at Wal-mart called Bits and Bones which is a great size for our small terriers. A 40lb bag is only $16 and if you compare ingredients to the other expensive brands they are darn near identical.

My dog Bailey will eat anything, however, I was told not to switch her food or it could cause GI problems so I have kept her on Beneful, although, when she visits Heather's house she gets the Walmart brand often (she likes to eat the other guys food) and I have caught her eating cat food, too. Since she doesn't eat much and it seems to keep her quite healthy, I have just kept her on it.
